Recipes with M&Ms

 PARTY COOKIES (found on www.mms.com)

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup butter or shortening
  2. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla
  6. 2 1/4 cups flour
  7. 1 teaspoon salt
  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  9. 1 3/4 cups M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits (reserve 1/2 cup for decorating)

Directions

Heat oven to 375°F. Beat sugars and butter (or shortening) until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in 1 3/4 cups M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press several additional M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits into each cookie. Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown. 

 

Chocolate Macadamia Chewies

   

 Ingredients

  1.  3/4 cup butter
  2. 2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  6. 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  9. 3/4 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  10. 1 12-ounce package M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl with electric mixer, cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, blending well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; blend well into creamed mixture. Blend in coconut and macadamia nuts. By hand, stir in M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets; flatten slightly with back of spoon. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or just until set. Do not over bake. Cool 1 minute before removing to wire rack; cool completely. Store in tightly covered container.

Chocolate Crackle Tops

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 12-ounce package M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits
Additional granulated sugar

Directions

Combine flour and baking powder; set aside. In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat combine 2 cups sugar, butter and chocolate, stirring until butter and chocolate are melted; remove from the heat. Gradually stir in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Chill mixture for 1 hour. Stir in M&M'S® Brand Milk Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Chill mixture an additional hour.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with foil. With sugar-dusted hands, roll dough into 1-inch balls; roll into additional granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in tightly covered container.
